News Helpline is India’s first e-commerce, newswire service that allows individuals from anywhere in the world to upload news content, and enables media houses and publishers to download and publish this content.
2. Who can upload content on your platform?
Anyone with verified credentials can upload content—this includes freelance journalists, local reporters, PR professionals, content creators, and citizen journalists. We believe in giving voice to every storyteller.

4. Is there a verification process for contributors?
Yes. We have a contributor verification process to ensure the credibility of our content. Users may need to submit ID proof, work samples, or social handles as part of the onboarding process.
5. Can I upload content in regional languages?
Currently we have opened the gateway for only Hindi and English language. Vey soon we will be starting other Indian languages as well. In the meantime, if any other language reporter is interested in being associated with us, he/she can do so by registering as a contributor and specifying the language. As soon as the respective language gateways opens, we will be in touch with you.
6. How do media houses access and download content?
Registered media houses can log in through our platform, browse content by category and download ready-to-publish news files along with media assets.
7. Is the content moderated or fact-checked?
Yes. We have a two-layer moderation process:

Post-publish audits for editorial review and verification
We also allow media houses to flag content that requires further scrutiny.
8. Can I earn from the content I upload?
Yes, contributors can decide the rates for the content they upload. Content can be in the form of Photos, Videos or Text stories. Contributors receive the payment if any publisher or media house purchase that content. The revenue share is 80-20 between contributor and News Helpline, where 80% of the revenue goes to the contributor and 20% to the platform.
9. How do I report misuse or fake content?
We take misinformation seriously. If you notice any suspicious or harmful content, you can report it directly through the platform via email newshelpline@yahoo.com. Our team will review and take appropriate action immediately.
